WWF Madagascar Country Office is looking for a “Fisheries Specialist” – open-ended contract
Location : Antananarivo
Major Function:
Under the supervision of the Fisheries Coordinator, the Fisheries Specialist is responsible for providing support to seascapes teams on the development of approaches and interventions to deliver on the WWF-Madagascar 2021- 2025 conservation goals and objectives on fisheries.What you need:
Required Qualifications:
- At least Masters level in a field related to fisheries management, marine sciences, and other related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience working on fisheries management
- Experience working on fisheries monitoring and data collection
- Experience working with governments, civil societies, NGOs, researchers and corporate sector
- Have a good network of external relationships in the Malagasy fisheries sector
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong oral and written communication skills in French, English and Malagasy
- Fit for frequent work in the field
- Adheres to WWF’s values, which are: Courage, Respect, Integrity & Collaboration
