Social and green entrepreneurship is flying the colors of Madagascar

A young climate change activist, social entrepreneur and eco-feminist, Marie Christina Kolo is the founder of "Green N kool". She represented Madagascar at the WWF Africa Youth Award competition in Zambia in October 15 to 18, 2018.

The WWF Africa Youth Award, open to young people aged between 18 to 35, recognizes young African leaders with innovative projects and environmental solutions. The award allows these young people to be engaged with African leaders in order to create a youth movement committed to conservation.

It is thanks to its social enterprise project that focuses on waste collection and recycling that Christina's company has convinced in Madagascar. "I'm coming back with the 2nd place but it encourages me to do even better for the future," says Christina, "especially, I am pleased to have participated behind the scenes in the next WWF's first global campaign to fight against the plastic in the oceans" .
