WWF MDCO intends to commission a consultant for the elaboration of Lessons learned from 10 years of WWF support to community coastal management in the Mahafaly landscape (Madagascar): a blueprint for community-led coastal and marine zone management in the South Western Indian Ocean Region
Eligibility and qualifications of the consultant:
Individuals, consortium or institutions with the qualifications below:
- Master’s degree in Environmental or Social Sciences, Economics, Communications or related fields
- Minimum 6 – 10 years’ proven experience in documentation of programme learning, project management, report writing and project monitoring and evaluation in fragile contexts
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge related to community coastal management, project approaches on Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs), village saving and loans (VSL), market systems development, livelihoods, self-reliance or durable solutions or humanitarian/development programming within Madagascar and the South West Indian Ocean region
- Strong analytical and writing/documentation of lessons learned/adaptive learning skills with proven experience in producing high quality research, case studies, policy briefs with ability to present complex information in a simple and accessible manner
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required and flexibility to work either remotely or undertake field visit to the project location in Madagascar.
