WWF Madagascar Country Office is looking for a (01) Blue finance and bankable project development senior advisor - SWIO Programme – Two years Fixed term contract
Location:
South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya or Madagascar
Major Function:
The main function of this role is to support the delivery of a coastal community livelihood incubator by leading the development of a portfolio of bankable projects and securing access to finance.
What you need:
Required qualifications:
- A higher academic degree (MSC or equivalent) in a finance or business development field;
- At least 10 years relevant experience particularly in business development and finance;
- Good understanding of the economic and political context
- Strategic thinker, with ability to link high-level strategies to activity implementation on the ground;
- Capacity to translate conservation actions into well-articulated business/Investment opportunities.
- Good inter-personal and diplomatic skills; Strong Networking skills
- Convener and facilitator, demonstrating “soft” leadership and deal-broker ability;
- Ability to explain complex concepts, findings and ideas in public and translating for specific audiences (e.g. from governments to local communities).
