WWF Madagascar Country Office is looking for a Senior Forest Officer.

Location: Antananarivo, Madagascar. Major Function:
T
he Senior Forest Officer provides thought leadership and strategic orientation on policy and advocacy and provides technical support to landscape programme teams in the areas of Fuelwood & Alternatives, REDD+ and Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR).

What you need:

Required Qualifications and experiences

 A minimum of masters in forestry or environmental management related area ;
 A minimum of 7 years’ experiences in leading and implementing projects and programmes ;
 Good understanding of forest policy and institutional frameworks in Madagascar and East Africa region.
 Proven experience in forestry management, reforestation, administration collaboration, capacity building of communities, collaboration with private sector;
 Excellent written and oral communications skills, fluency in Malagasy, French and English languages ;
 Excellent computer knowledge (word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail…).
