Biodiversity must be the first concern of all because it is thanks to it that we can live and have all the resources essential to our survival such as oxygen, water and food. Today, it is threatened. The Earth is facing a double environmental crisis: the climate crisis and the loss of biodiversity. We must act now and protect 30% of the planet by 2030 to save biodiversity.
In December, the governments of the world and Madagascar have the opportunity to conclude a pact similar to the 2015 Paris climate agreement, but for nature, during CBD COP15, the 15th Conference of the Parties on Biological Diversity. CBD COP15 is an international meeting where biodiversity will be at the heart of the discussions of 196 countries. The stated goal is to decide on a clear plan to reverse the decline of nature. From December 7 to 19, in Montreal, leaders will make commitments for a positive nature by 2030. Young people from around the world will also have the opportunity to show their involvement in biodiversity conservation.
